Power Balance Forced To Admit Their Advertising Is Misleading

January 4th, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Endorsement Deals,Uncategorized

Power Balance, the company that makes the wristbands endorsed by many an athlete which claim to “improve strength, balance and flexibility” has been forced to release a “corrective advertisement” due to the breach of an Australian Trade Practices Act.  The corrective advertisement is posted on the company’s Australian website, and says, “We admit that there is no credible scientific evidence that supports our claims and therefore we engaged in misleading conduct.” The company is offering refunds to those who feel they have been misled. Meanwhile, the American website for the company is continuing to mislead.
