September 1st, 2010 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Contest,FootballTony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons tight end, announced a contest today sponsored by his sports nutrition company All-Pro Science Inc., based on the achievement of his 1,000th catch. Currently, Tony is one catch short of becoming the seventh NFL player to make 1,000 catches. It is expected he will be making catch #1,000 on September 12th as the Falcons take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Fans can enter the contest on Twitter, by tweeting Tony (@TonyGonzalez88) with a reason why they deserve to win. The hash tag #1000Catch must be included, and fans can only tweet once a day. The contest ends on September 12th after the Steelers game, at which time Tony will randomly draw a winner. The winner and a guest will be flown to Atlanta to meet Tony, stay 2 nights in a hotel, and receive a ticket for the Falcons game against the Cardinals. The winner will also receive autographed gloves from the game.
