Bike Bought For $5 Belonged To Floyd Landis
August 16th, 2010 | Posted by Leah Hollar in CyclingGreg Estes of Kentucky bought a bike at a yard sale for $5. It turns out the bike belonged to the 2006 Tour de France victor who had his title stripped after admitting to doping, Floyd Landis. The previous owner had found the bike abandoned on an interstate and thought it was broken. But after Estes took it to some bike shops, he soon found out the custom high-tech pedals were custom made for Landis and that the bike is worth about $8,000. Not bad for a yard sale find.

I wonder … is it worth 8 because of Landis’ scandals or is the bike that good?
