Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes Arrested For Felony Domestic Violence Allegations

Basketball player Matt Barnes who was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers over the summer has been arrested and released on a felony domestic violence charge.

“Huddle To Fight Hunger” Tailgate Event

Kraft Foods will be kicking off their national hunger relief effort with an event in NYC today with legendary quarterback Joe Montana, ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews and Food Network’s The Neelys.

There will be a special tailgate event to kick off “Huddle to Fight Hunger,” in Herald Square from 10am – 4pm. The event is open to everyone and those in attendance can participate in a series of fun, football activities, like a quarterback toss with a legend, or participate in an interview with Erin or a cooking demonstration from the Neelys.

Each activity is designed to allow participants to generate additional meals for local tri-state area Feeding America food banks.

Johnny Wier On Tonight’s Episode Of “The Rachel Zoe Project”

Olympic ice skater and star of his own reality show, Johnny Weir will be making a guest appearance on the hit Bravo fashion television show, The Rachel Zoe Project tonight

Johnny approaches Rachel for some styling tips for his signature look. We’ve all seen pictures and interviews with Johnny and know that he has his own style (just take a look at his outfit in the above photo)! Also featured in the episode is Rachel’s style director, Brad Goreski who tries to copy Johnny’s trademark spin.

Florida State University Does Glee!

During halftime of the Florida State University vs Samford at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida on Saturday, the home teams marching band, the Marching Chiefs had a Glee themed performance!

They played three of the TV shows hit song renditions, including Gives You Hell, Dream On and My Life Would Suck Without You. Check out the performances below:

Whoopi Goldberg Purchases $5,000 Worth Of NBA Stuff

According to the New York Post, actress and “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg is a huge fan of the Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan.

According to sources, Whoopi was at the NBA store on Fifth Avenue over the weekend with some family members where she purchased a $2,300 life-size Jordan photograph. Whoopi then purchased Jordan sneakers and shirts for the group of people with her. She also purchased some Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Laker gear. The bill totaled approximately $5,000.

Obviously Whoopi is a big fan of the NBA!

Ochocinco And TO Land Talk Show

Cincinnati Bengals players Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens have struck a deal with the Versus network. The Batman and Robin duo will be joining forces for a weekly national NFL talk show titled “The T. Ocho Show”. It shows format is being compared to ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption” but Ochcinco told one media outlet that the content will be “…a lot more raw.”

“The T. Ocho Show” premieres Oct. 12 on Versus, but the network will air sneak-peak segments for five weeks before, starting Tuesday, Sept. 7 on “The Daily Line.”

Wonder what happens if these two get into it during the game and then have to film their weekly show. Who is placing bets that TO doesn’t show up at least one week because he’s not happy with what’s going on on the field?

The Flying Tomato, Olympic gold medal snowboarder Shaun White is celebrating his 24th birthday today!

Fun Facts About Shaun: This two-time Olympic gold medalist was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect for which he endured two open-heart operations before the age of one.

Shaun has had endorsement deals since he was seven years old. Corporate endorsement deals include Burton Snowboards,Oakley, Inc., Birdhouse Skateboards, Park City Mountain Resort, Target Corp., Ubisoft, Adio, Hewlett-Packard and Red Bull. In fact, in 2009, Red Bull built Shaun his very own secret halfpipe made out of natural snow in Colorado so he could prep for the 2010 winter Olympics.

In 2007, Shaun appeared on the E! reality television show, Girls Next Door and was shown teaching Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt how to snowboard. Check out a clip from the show:

Bode Miller Makin’ Move On Gossip Girl

Olympic skiing bad-boy Bode Miller was seen chatting up Gossip Girl actress at the US Open in Flushing Meadows on Tuesday night. Sources have said that the gold medal winner “seemed to hit it off with Katie, they were sipping Ty Ku cocktails and talking closely while in a private box.”

Katie was previously linked to LA Kings hockey player Jarret Stoll and Bode was last seen dating model Amanda French.

Romance brewing? We’ll see!

Rick Fox Partnered With Ochocinco’s Gal Cheryl Burke

Chad Ochocinco was a contestant on last seasons Dancing with the Stars. The Cincinnati Bengals player was paired with dancing queen Cheryl Burke. Chad showered Cheryl with compliments, gifts, and were seen out on the town together even after the show had ended. Rumors swirled that the couple were in fact, a couple.

Chad, who had already committed to doing his VH1 dating reality show had to fulfill his obligations, and that was the last we heard of a potential Chad/Cheryl romance. He has since been linked to Evelyn Lozada. But now former Laker and aspiring actor Rick Fox has been paired with Cheryl. Wonder how his girlfriend Eliza Dushku feels about this? We are thinking Eliza will be in the audience every week keeping an eye on her man!

Cheryl was previously paired with former Dallas Cowboys great Emmitt Smith. They took home the crown for season two.
