Tennis star Venus Williams was seen shooting a commercial for tennis brand Wilson on Sunday in Florida.

Lindsey Vonn for Rolex

Watchmaker Rolex debuted a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal featuring Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.

Other athletes that have endorsement deals with Rolex include golfers Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Annika Sorenstam, and tennis players Roger Federer and Justine Henin.

Maria Sharapova Gets Support From Boyfriend Sasha Vujacic

Maria Sharapova participated in the BNP Paribas Open this weekend at Indian Wells. Watching from the sidelines of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday was her boyfriend and Los Angeles Laker guard Sasha Vujacic.

Sharapova who won the Indian Wells title in 2008, lost to China’s Zheng Jie on Sunday afternoon.

Andy Roddick’s Wife Scores Part in Movie

Andy Roddick’s wife and Sports Illustrated cover model Brooklyn Decker has scored a role in an upcoming movie. Titled Just Go With it, the film stars girl-next-door Jennifer Aniston and funny man Adam Sandler. Decker will make an appearance in the movie.

This is Decker’s first appearance in a feature film, she has Ugly Betty and Chuck listed as previous TV credits.

Sasha Vujacic Playing Tennis?

Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic and girlfriend, Tennis champ Maria Sharapova were spotted playing Tennis in Palm Springs on Wednesday afternoon.

We would love to see the kind of athlete babies these two would produce, Maria is 6’2″ and Sasha is 6’7″. Wow!

Athlete Sighting: Serena Williams

Serena Williams was spotted shooting a new Gatorade commercial. Serena was on set for the Evolve campaign for Gatorade’s new G series of drinks. The G series is a three-part system that has vitamins, electrolytes and carbs but is still low calorie, ideal for the conditioning athlete.

Laureus World Sportsman Award Winners Announced

The 2010 Laureus World Sportsman Award winners were announced today in Abu Dhabi. Award winners include tennis champ Serena Williams and Olympic Usain Bolt.

Battle of the Memoirs: Andre Agassi vs. Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields announced that she will be penning a memoir in which she will give her side of what went on during her marriage to tennis champ Andre Agassi.

Agassi disclosed details of their marriage in his tell-all book Open. In an interview for the April issue of Ladies Home Journal, Shields addresses an excerpt from Agassi’s book:

Agassi wrote that he became incensed when he was on the set of “Friends” the day Shields — in a guest-starring role in which she stalks Matt LeBlanc’s character, Joey — was required to lick LeBlanc’s hand. In Agassi’s account, he said he rushed back to their house and smashed his Wimbledon trophies. Shields expressed anger that the story ended there.

“Does he mention I spent the next three years replicating those trophies? He doesn’t say that, does he? Of course not. That’ll be in my book!”

It’ll be interesting to see what other details Shields book will reveal. There are two sides to every story!
