Miami Dolphins Launch New Post-Game Show

Miami Dolphins fans will have access to a new regular season post-game show called ’5th quarter with the FINSIDERS’. The show will be distributed across all media channels, starting September 12th. Featuring Head Coach Tony Sparano’s post-game press conference and post-game interviews of players, the show marks the first time an NFL franchise will distribute a post-game show across television, radio, digitally, and live. Fans can watch the broadcast live at Sun Life Stadium, they can catch streaming audio and video on-line at MiamiDolphins.com or from their phones with the Dolphins Mobile Phone app. Several different radio options are available including the Miami Dolphins Radio Network, and the show will be broadcast locally on a couple different television stations.

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings will be signing autographs today in Venice Beach at the Power Balance booth from 3 – 3:30pm.

Power Balance has been a hit among athletes. Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom, Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Ricky Romero and mixed martial artist Shane del Rosario all swear by the powers of the bracelet.

Good News For Tiger Woods

The last nine months of Tiger Woods life would not be described as great. His divorce from his Swedish wife was finalized earlier this week and he’s about to enter the worst drought of his career if he doesn’t win at the upcoming Barclays Golf Tournament.

But it’s not all bad news, Tiger’s website was honored by the SportBusiness Group in its annual Ultimate Sports Websites Awards.

The site won four of the seven categories — Multimedia Content, General Content, Monetisation, and Partnership Activation.

“This is a nice honor,” said Tiger. “A lot of people have worked very hard to improve our product, and the recognition is well-deserved. This year-round site was created for my fans, and I’m extremely grateful for their loyalty and support.”

Tim Tebow And His Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber

Tim Tebow has been using a hyperbaric oxygen chamber since 2008 but had it moved to his hotel room in Denver because of the beating his body has been taking during his first professional training camp.

Athletes use hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help increase blood flow and help expedite the healing process. Sources revealed that Tim typically sits in the oxygen chamber for approximately 60 – 90 minutes post practice.

Several top athletes have been known to use this type of therapy including Tiger Woods, Terrell Owens and Hines Ward.

Boise State Football Coach Bans Players From Using Twitter

Boise State football coach Chris Petersen has banned players from posting on Twitter during the football season. He says it is a distraction the team doesn’t need as they enter the season as Western Athletic Conference title favorites. Senior safety Jeron Johnson (ShowOff23 on Twitter) posted one of his last few tweets, saying, “Yea getting off twitter might be for the better.. Gotta focus on the task at hand!!”

Terrell Owens Copies Ochocinco With New iPhone App

Terrell Owens has followed in his buddy Ochocino’s footsteps once again, this time releasing an iPhone app. Available August 8th, the application will be very similar to Ochocinoco’s with many of the same features including news, his schedule, stats, photos, and an “Ask TO” option. And in case you forget how to tie your tie, there’s a feature for that, too. Rock Software, who worked with the Bengals players on their apps, is designing apps for a few other notable athletes including Mike Tyson and Carmelo Anthony.

Doritos Releases NFL-Inspired Chips

Doritos sponsored voting for who fans wanted to see on the cover of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 11 video game earlier this year. Now, with the release of the video game nearing, Doritos has released two new limited-edition flavors: Stadium Nacho and Tailgater BBQ.  Using the brand’s FlavorPlus technology, which replicates how flavors are released when eaten, they were able to pack in flavors and smells that they hoped would remind fans of game day. Drew Brees was selected to appear on the cover of the game set to be released in August.
