It’s pretty safe to say at this point that Wiz Khalifa’s original “Black and Yellow” anthem for the Steelers has been ripped off by every rapper wanting to do an anthem for somebody or some team. The latest is rapper Maino who just released his anthem for Carmelo Anthony in recognition of his move to the New York Knicks. We’re sick of this song, can somebody write a rap to another beat please?

Lenny Kravitz And Rihanna Performing At NBA All-Star Game
February 9th, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Basketball,Music | No CommentsThis year’s All-Star weekend is already shaping up to be a major event. Perhaps, the NBA’s most successful. Tickets for the All-Star game in Los Angeles are currently averaging $1,558 per seat, which is six times last year’s asking ticket price! (This according to Darren Rovell of Sports Biz.)
Performers slated for the event include Grammy Award winning musicians Rihanna and Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz will perform his song “Come on Get It” during introductions of the starting lineups for the game taking place on February 20th. Josh Groban will sing the national anthem, and Rihanna will be taking the stage for the halftime show. Rihanna will sing a couple of her big songs including “Only Girl (In The World)” and “Whats My Name.” Performances by Keri Hilson and Cee Lo Green will also take place during the Saturday night All-Star Game festivities.

Christina Aguilera Sang The Wrong Lyrics For National Anthem

Christina Aguilera has been performing the national anthem since she was seven years old. We saw her sing it beautifully at last season’s NBA finals game in Los Angeles. But something must have come over her in the excitement of the Super Bowl because she sang the wrong line, leaving out, “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming,” and replacing it with “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.” To be honest, we can’t criticize her too much because no one seemed to notice. Maybe someone was talking over her mistake, but she didn’t stutter or draw attention to the foul up. It wasn’t until we logged on-line that we realized she had made an error. This will be one to add to the Super Bowl memories America won’t forget alongside Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction.
Athlete Sighting: Chad Henne
February 6th, 2011 | Posted by Queen of Sports in Athlete Sighting,Football,Music | No CommentsMiami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne was spotted at the 25th Annual WKIS Chili Cook OFf at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Florida last weekend.
WKIS is a south Florida country music station and the event featured performances by musical guests Trace Atkins, The Band Perry, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Justin Moore.
We had no idea Chad was such a country music fan, or maybe he just went for the chili. Also joining the quarterback at the weekend long event were fellow football players Jake Long and Tyler Ecker.

Lil Wayne Is A Packers Fan?
February 3rd, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Football,Music | 1 CommentLil’ Wayne re-did Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” Steelers anthem to better suit his love for…the Green Bay Packers? We weren’t in on the fact he’s a fan. He must have gotten into them this season while in prison where he said he watched a lot of ESPN. In the song he gives a “long hair don’t care” shout-out to Clay Matthews and of course the Lambeau Leap. His version of the song, “Green and Yellow,” can be downloaded or listened to over at WeezyThanxYou.com.
