Jennifer Hudson’s One Shining Moment

Every year minutes after the final buzzer rings completing the NCAA Tournament, a montage of moments from the tournament are shown with the song “One Shining Moment”. This year Jennifer Hudson was taped as the voice and there are clips of her pieced through the montage.

LeBron James Sporting Dr. Dre Red Sox Headphones

Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James just can’t catch a break when it comes to his baseball team of choice. The forward was crucified in 2007 for showing up to a Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees game wearing a Yankee hat! That begun to spark rumors of the Cavs star leaving Cleveland for New York after the 2010 season.

Well, fast forward to Sunday night where LeBron was spotted at the Red Sox opener at Fenway Park where they took on their rival, the Yankees. LeBron was spotted wearing Red Sox Beats by Dre headphones.

So what’s the deal LeBron, Yankees or Red Sox?

Also on hand was music industry mogul, Dr. Dre.

Athlete Sighting: Evan Lysacek

Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek was spotted at The Mint nightclub in LA on Monday night after his taping of Dancing with the Stars.

The skater was there to see fellow Dancing with the Stars partner and professional ballroom dancer Mark Ballas sing.

Newly single Superbowl champ Reggie Bush was spotted enjoying a Black Eyed Peas concert at Staples Center on Monday night.

The running back called it quits (AGAIN) with reality TV star Kim Kardashian last week.

Lala Vasquez in Miami!

Carmelo Anthony’s fiancee Lala Vasquez was spotted at a listening party for rapper Trina (girlfriend to fellow Denver Nugget, Kenyon Martin) in Miami on Thursday night.

Trina’s new album, AMAZIN’ drops on May 4th.

Shaq in New Music Video

During his time recovering from his injury, Shaquille O’Neal was busy making a cameo in a Owl City’s music video for their song Vanilla Twilight.

Shaq is not strangeer to Hollywood having been in movies like Scary Movie 4 and Kazaam and also starring in television shows Shaq Vs. and Shaq’s Big Challenge.

NY Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was spotted taking in a Broadway show on Wednesday.

Mark saw “In the Heights” and said the “music and dancing were great!”

Alicia Keyes To Open World Cup

Alicia Keyes along with Shakira and the Blacy Eyed Peas have been tapped to perform at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration concert before the first soccer match of the World Cup in South Africa on June 10th.

Twelve total artists will be featured, a mix of mainstream pop artists along with African musicians.

“Music and sports are the lifeblood of African culture, so to combine those in this historic event will be a true celebration of Africa,” said former South African soccer player Lucas Radebe.

Officials are expecting 30,000 people to attend the festivities at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.

Jennifer Hudson to Sing “One Shining Moment”

Oscar and Grammy award winner Jennifer Hudson has been tapped as the new voice for the “One Shining Moment” montage.

Following the conclusion of the NCAA men’s basketball championship game, CBS plays a montage of highlights from the tournament and this year it will be set to the voice of Hudson. She has already recorded her version of the song.

This marks the first time a woman has sung the song for the montage, previous performers include Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross and David Barrett. Barrett’s version has played over the tournament highlights since 1987.

Welcome Baby Gibson

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson and his fiancee singer Keyshia Cole welcomed their first child today. They named the boy Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. Baby Gibson was born Tuesday night at 11:54pm, weighing in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

Keyshia’s rep states “both mom and baby are doing great.”

Congrats to the newest addition to the Gibson family!
