LeBron James Battling Britney Spears In Bowling Hall Of Fame Induction Competition

March 27th, 2012 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Basketball,Music | No Comments

LeBron James. Britney Spears. Bowling. It seems unlikely the two celebrities would have anything to do with each other, let alone with bowling in the mix. However, a campaign by the Bowler’s Proprietor’s Association of America to make the sport of bowling the number one participatory sport in the country has gathered a number of celebrities to face off for the honor of induction into the Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame.

LeBron and Britney are part of this week’s match-up, both vying for votes to advance in the contest. James made his way into the running, beating out Tim Tebow in votes. Britney Spears beat out fellow musician Drake to advance.

Incentives are given in the form of bowling coupons to those who vote. You can vote here at GoBowling.com.

Tim Tebow Dating Taylor Swift?

February 29th, 2012 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Couples,Football,Music | No Comments

Sources spotted pop starlet Taylor Swift and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow chatting it up at a pre-Oscars bash on Friday night before dining together. The two were seen arriving together at Toscanova Italian restaurant in the Century City mall. After dinner, Tebow then walked her out before heading back into the restaurant.

While the meeting could have been strictly platonic, for business, or otherwise, TerezOwens.com reports his sources have confirmed that the two are actually dating.

We think they’d make a great couple! The 22-year old Swift would be dating more in her age range. Tebow is 24 years old. Swift previously dated 31-year-old Jake Gyllenhaal and 34-year-old John Mayer.

What do you think of these two as a potential couple?

From planking to Tebowing to the latest Internet fad: Ortoning. Ryan Parker tells us Ortoning is  “looking really sad, Ortoning is when you realize that you are bad, Ortoning is watching someone new, doing something better than you.”

Ortoning is of course in reference to Kyle Orton, who was the quarterback of the Denver Broncos before Tim Tebow became the starting quarterback and Orton was benched before being released in November and claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Madonna Scheduled For Halftime Show At Super Bowl XLVI

December 5th, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Football,Music | No Comments

The rumors were true back in October. The NFL and NBC announced during last night’s Detroit Lions vs New Orleans Saints game that Madonna will be performing in the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on NBC on Feb. 5.

Madonna has partnered with a creative team from Cirque du Soleil who will direct the show creatively. Longtime choreographer Jamie King who danced with the First Lady of Pop herself as well as Michael Jackson and Prince before becoming a choreographer will also have a role in  producing the big performance.

The show is the most watched music event on television. Last year, more than 162 million viewers tuned in to watch The Black Eyed Peas and performances by Usher and Slash.

How do you feel about NBC and the NFL’s choice? Who would you pick to perform during this year’s halftime show if it were up to you?
