Ok, ok, before you think we’re not being very lady-like by posting this video let us explain what Danilo Gallinari is promoting in this locker-room skit with sports broadcaster Melanie Collins. Sheets are new energy strips that can be placed on the tongue to provide quick energy through B vitamins. In some genius marketing, they posted this video on YouTube that has been viewed almost 20 times more than this one featuring LeBron James. Way to play off the man’s accent.
Erin Andrews Has To Give Up Reebok Endorsement in 2012
April 14th, 2011 | Posted by Queen of Sports in Endorsement Deals | 1 CommentESPN reporter and Dancing with the Stars alum Erin Andrews signed an endorsement deal with Reebok for their new Zig Tech shoes in January. Well, ESPN has just added a new policy for their employees that will force Erin to give up her new endorsement deal next year.
ESPN is allowing Erin to fulfill this years contract obligations with Reebok but come January 1, 2012, she’ll have to give up the lucrative deal.
“For Erin’s Reebok agreement, we plan to allow that commitment to be honored for the rest of the year before that relationship ends,” said ESPN spokesperson Josh Krulewitz. “The fact is that the sponsor has made significant commitments to campaigns involving Erin and we feel it’s the right thing to do to allow those commitments to be honored.”
Erin’s spokesperson had this to say, “She respects ESPN’s policy and has no other comment.” We’re guessing she’s not too happy about this…
What do you think about ESPN’s new policy? Do they have the right to dictate the endorsement deals their employees can do? Is it a conflict of interest that she is representing a sports brand? Is it fair that she has to lose that income? We want to hear from you – leave your thoughts in the comment section.

LeBron James Joining Forces With Fenway Sports Group
April 7th, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Basketball,Endorsement Deals,Soccer | No CommentsWho knew LeBron James had an interest in the Liverpool soccer club? Well, it’s all about the benjamins, baby.
LeBron James is joining forces with Fenway Sports Group, the company that owns the Boston Red Sox franchise and the Liverpool soccer club. The deal will make James a minority interest in the Liverpool club, the world’s eighth largest soccer club in terms of revenue. Fenway Sports Group, owned by hedge-fund manager John Henry and Hollywood producer Tom Werner, will become the new world-wide representative of James and his sports-marketing firm. The deal with Liverpool is most significant, considering the club is one of the most popular and powerful teams in the world. The deal will also mark the first time a professional athlete in the prime of his career has had ownership in such a powerful team. Fenway will represent the commercial interests of James. Representing an athlete will be a first for the company.
Gloria James must have been celebrating her son’s success last night.

Athlete Sighting: Kobe Bryant
March 4th, 2011 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Athlete Sighting,Basketball,Endorsement Deals | No CommentsKobe Bryant attended a party at Paramount Studios last night to celebrate the launch of Turkish Airlines’ new non-stop service from Los Angeles to Istanbul. The launch party began with a red carpet celebration at 8 pm. Kobe posed alongside flight crew and executives for the state-run airline, and his teammate Theo Ratliff was also in attendance.
The commercial Kobe filmed for the airline was lighthearted, but his support of the Turkish airline caused quite a stir within the Armenian community in Los Angeles.
