It’s the sister event of Switzerland’s Art Basel, the most prestigious art show worldwide for the past 41 years. Art Basel Miami Beach combines an international selection of top galleries with an exciting program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover events featuring music, film, architecture and design. Check out the picture of Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez roaming some of the galleries checking out the art. He was accompanied by his manager and friend, Guy Oseary. Alex had his eye on a Cy Twombly canvas “Crimes of Passion I” at the Acquavella Gallery. The piece was placed on hold for him. The asking price? $6,500,000.
Also hanging out in some of the art exhibitions was champion cyclist Lance Armstrong and his girlfriend, Anna Henson. Lance hasn’t purchased anything yet but he spoke with several gallery owners and met up with Naomi Campbell’s boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin.

Bike Bought For $5 Belonged To Floyd Landis
August 16th, 2010 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Cycling | 1 CommentGreg Estes of Kentucky bought a bike at a yard sale for $5. It turns out the bike belonged to the 2006 Tour de France victor who had his title stripped after admitting to doping, Floyd Landis. The previous owner had found the bike abandoned on an interstate and thought it was broken. But after Estes took it to some bike shops, he soon found out the custom high-tech pedals were custom made for Landis and that the bike is worth about $8,000. Not bad for a yard sale find.
