Roethlisberger Update

The Milledgeville Police Department in Georgia have scheduled a press conference for today at 1pm PST.
Meanwhile, Roethlisberger had hired Atlanta-based attorney Ed Garland who also represented Baltimore Raven football player Ray Lewis when he faced murder charges in 2000. Garland had the most serious charges against Lewis dropped and the NFL star ended up pleading guilty to obstruction of justice.

NFL Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s agent, Ryan Tollner has just released a statement regarding the allegations made against his client.
“Last night, Ben and his friends met a group of women and everyone mingled together throughout the evening.” Tollner added, “We have spoken to law enforcement. Based on information currently available, an allegation was made against Ben, which appeared to be dismissed after a preliminary investigation last night. Obviously, given the prior accusation against Ben, we are skeptical of motive, but we will continue to cooperate with everyone involved.”
The Milledgeville Police Department maintain that the case is still under investigation.

Ben Roethlisberger’s reps are denying that theĀ quarterback sexually assaulted a woman in Georgia last night, according to ProFootballTalk.
The report states, Ben’s reps, “wouldn’t comment as to whether Roethlisberger was in fact accused of sexual assault, just that the allegations were untrue and the events in question did not happen.”

TMZ is reporting that Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexually assault by a woman in Milledgeville, Georgia. The alleged incident occurred early this morning outside a club, Capital City.
Officers of the Milledgeville Police Department have been performing interviews.
Roethlisberger is currently being sued by Andrea McNulty, who claims to have been assaulted by the quarterback at Harrah’s hotel in Lake Tahoe in July 2008.
Formal charges have not been filed yet.
