Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaq O’Neal’s mother, Lucille has just penned her memoir, Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go: From Mental Warfare to Mental Wealth.
Lucille says she’s proud of all four of her children and 14 grandchildren, but that she also has a story to tell about herself. The book covers many difficult periods in her life including self-esteem issues because of her size (by the age of 12,she was 6 feet tall), developing alcohol problems as a teen and getting pregnant as a high school senior.
Her eldest son, Shaq, wrote the foreword for her book where he wrote, “We’ve always had a special bond.” He also calls her his “ultimate inspiration.”

Battle of the Memoirs: Andre Agassi vs. Brooke Shields
March 8th, 2010 | Posted by admin in Books,Couples,Tennis | 2 Comments
Brooke Shields announced that she will be penning a memoir in which she will give her side of what went on during her marriage to tennis champ Andre Agassi.
Agassi disclosed details of their marriage in his tell-all book Open. In an interview for the April issue of Ladies Home Journal, Shields addresses an excerpt from Agassi’s book:
Agassi wrote that he became incensed when he was on the set of “Friends” the day Shields — in a guest-starring role in which she stalks Matt LeBlanc’s character, Joey — was required to lick LeBlanc’s hand. In Agassi’s account, he said he rushed back to their house and smashed his Wimbledon trophies. Shields expressed anger that the story ended there.
“Does he mention I spent the next three years replicating those trophies? He doesn’t say that, does he? Of course not. That’ll be in my book!”
It’ll be interesting to see what other details Shields book will reveal. There are two sides to every story!
