Check out Denver Nuggets player Carmelo Anthony’s wife on the cover of the April issue of Latina Magazine.

In the article the couple address rumors regarding their long engagement and commitment-phobic basketball player lifestyle.

“I wasn’t making her wait,” Denver Nuggets star Anthony told Latina magazine of fiancee La La. “If anything, I was waiting for her to slow down. She was doing her own thing, handling her business and we were happy. When it was time to take it to the next step we did. Period.”

The former MTV VJ says “I don’t think people understand how hard I’ve worked to achieve the things I have.”

Candace Parker was spotted grabbing some food to-go at Uno Chicago Grill in Boston on Thursday afternoon.

The Sparks player is in Boston where her husband, Shelden Williams plays for the Celtics.

Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker has some new sneakers hitting the shelves soon. Adidas’ TS Ace Commander shoes come in the “home” colors for the Sparks, white, yellow and purple.

Amare Stoudemire Visits Phoenix School

Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns stopped by Washington High School in Phoenix Arizona on Thursday afternoon. The Suns forward was there to talk to the kids about the importance of Financial Literacy as part of the Each One, Teach One program.

“Teenagers have to learn how to be financially responsible,” said Stoudemire. “We created this education program to give youth the tools and an interesting place to learn how to make good decisions.”

Shaq and Shaunie Reach Deal in Divorce Settlement

Cleveland Cavaliers center, Shaquille O’Neal and his estranged wife, Shaunie have reached a settlement in their divorce, TMZ is reporting.

Sorrell Trope, Shaunie’s lawyer, says that an agreement has been reached regarding all terms of the divorce, including property, custody and support.

Under the agreement, the Florida courts will have jurisdiction to officially divorce the couple. In addition, a Florida judge will handle any issues that may arise involving property division and spousal support. The California courts will have jurisdiction over child custody related issues.

Sasha Vujacic Playing Tennis?

Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic and girlfriend, Tennis champ Maria Sharapova were spotted playing Tennis in Palm Springs on Wednesday afternoon.

We would love to see the kind of athlete babies these two would produce, Maria is 6’2″ and Sasha is 6’7″. Wow!

Celebrity Sighting at Mavericks Game!

Newly engaged Bachelor, Jake Pavelka was spotted at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on Wednesday night. The most recent star of the ABC reality show was there to watch the Dallas Mavericks host the New Jersey Nets.

During a break in the game, Jake appeared on the jumbotron. Jake will appear on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Nets, 96 – 87 and improved to a 45 – 21 overall record.

Mr. & Mrs. Odom on Lopez Tonight

Lamar Odom and his wife Khloe Kardashian stopped by George Lopez’s set today for an interview.

The couples chat with the comedian will air on Lopez Tonight this evening on TBS at 11pm.

Dakar to Host Basketball Without Borders 2010

NBA players and coaches will join NBA Global Ambassador Dikembe Mutombo and travel to Dakar, Senegal Aug. 5-8 for the eighth edition of Basketball without Borders Africa.

The four-day camp that combines high level basketball instruction and extensive community outreach efforts, will unite the top 65 young basketball players (19 and under) from across Africa as selected by the NBA, FIBA and participating federations. Having previously taken place in Johannesburg since 2003, this will be the first time the event is held in Senegal.
