Boston Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal made an appearance at Millions of Milkshakes over the weekend to launch “Shaqolate” for the Gateway Boys and Girls Club at the Culver City location.

Shaq was in town for yesterday’s matchup against his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers and was able to make a pit stop for charity.

Shaq and members of the Los Angeles Port Police created a new flavor of milkshake that will be added to the celebrity menu. There were also children from the Gateway Boys and Girls Club in attendance and assisted with the milkshake design. Proceeds from the shake will be donated to the club which offers after school programs and a college prep program for youth. The Westfield Culver City shopping center has also agreed to donate $2,500.

Shaq also signed autographs and took pictures with fans.

Got to hand to Shaq – he does a lot of charity work – especially compared to his former “little brother”
