Dodgers Change Matt Kemp 80′s Poster
August 4th, 2010 | Posted by Leah Hollar in BaseballMatt Kemp isn’t feeling too confident lately. He’s been receiving a lot of criticism on how he’s been playing this season and many are speculating his dating Rihanna is a distraction. The latest attention he’s been receiving has been fueled by the leaked image of the poster he appears on for 80′s night, dressed as Michael Jackson. The photographer who took the Michael Jackson photo said to the folks over at the blog Vin Scully Is My Homeboy (who leaked the image): “He (Kemp) was shy about doing it but gave me a few poses but was uncomfortable doing it. I hate seeing him getting ripped in blogs for doing something he was asked to do by the club.”
So, after plenty of bad blog press, the Dodgers have decided to pull the Michael Jackson image and instead are using a generic image of Kemp up to bat in his Dodgers blue. Many are speculating the change wouldn’t have happened if Dodgers executives weren’t reading sports blogs. Maybe if they would have read our post, it wouldn’t have been pulled. We liked the Michael Jackson/Matt Kemp poster! Own it, Kemp!

Much better…
I like the original over the generic!
