Ashley Judd’s Husband Wins Indy 500!

Actress Ashley Judd and her husband, NASCAR driver Dario Franchitti have a lot to celebrate!

Judd was on hand to see her hubby win his second Indy 500 race and according to sources, she ran down to greet him on the track barefoot!

How cute!

We have to say, Dario is quite the sexy man. He’s Scottish with Italian heritage, so yummy!

Department Of State Partners With NBA/WNBA For Overseas Youth Outreach

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs SportsUnited Office has partnered with the NBA and WNBA for the 6th consecutive year for a series of Sports Envoy programs this summer.

From May to August, current and former NBA and WNBA players will travel as Sports Envoys to four regions of the world reaching youth in Indonesia, Tunisia, Serbia, Cape Verde and Malawi. The basketball players and coaches will conduct drills and team-building activities, as well as engage local youth in a dialogue on the importance of education, teamwork, leadership, and respect for diversity.

Since 2004, 39 NBA and WNBA players and coaches have visited 17 different countries for the SportsUnited Office, where they have conducted hundreds of basketball clinics for thousands of young boys and girls and coaches.

NFL’s Jason David Hosts Charity Golf Tournament

NFL free agent Jason David is hosting a charity golf tournament on Friday, June 25th and the 5th Annual Youth Football Skills Camp on Saturday, June 26th.

The 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic will be held at Lost Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley, California and is being put on by the athletes foundation, Jason David’s Corner Foundation.

The proceeds will be donated to a doctor conducting kidney research and/or an organization supporting the cause.

NFL players expected to attend include Will Smith, Courtney Roby, Matt Leinart, Darnell Bing, Hamza and Husain Abdullah. Participants will get to meet the NFL players and will also be able to bid on unique auction items.

The football skills camp will be held at Charter Oak High School in Covina. The camp is free to youth in the surrounding communities between the ages of 7 to 17. Participants will have the opportunity to learn drills and exercises as well as ask players questions, eat lunch and win prizes.

Nicole Scherzinger’s Boyfriend Wins The Turkish Formula Grand Prix

After taking home the top prize on Dancing with the Stars, Pussycat Doll member Nicole Scherzinger celebrated with her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton as he took home the trophy for the Turkish Formula Grand Prix.

Nicole joined Lewis in Istanbul, Turkey for the race and her excitement about the win was apparent!

“I just got so excited in the garage. But I’m just so proud of him!”

SF Giants Host Girls Softball Night With Jennie Finch!

MLB franchise the San Francisco Giants is hosting a Girls Softball Night on June 2nd.

The special event ticket package includes a limited-edition Jennie Finch bobblehead, a pregame Q&A session with Jennie Finch in Scoreboard Plaza, and a seat in the girl’s softball section of the ballpark.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Jennie Finch’s n’PLAY Foundation, whose mission is to financially support physical education and activity programs in low income areas with the highest rates of childhood obesity.

The football star was seen with his girlfriend, Candice Crawford and her brother, actor Chace Crawford.

PUMA Kicks Off World Cup Celebration With Africa Unity Experience

Sports lifestyle brand PUMA hosted a World Cup kickoff celebration this past weekend in Paris, France called the Africa Unity Experience.

PUMA is sponsoring a few African soccer teams for the World Cup and used the event as a send-off for the Ghana, Ivory Coast, Algeria and Cameroon clubs.

The event featured a series of celebratory music concerts and an exhibition game.

Hollywood actor Dijmon Hounsou and girlfriend, former model and business mogul Kimora Lee Simmons (pictured above) participated in the festivities as well.

USA Soccer Team Leaves For South Africa

The USA soccer team has departed from the US and are headed to South Africa! Check out the pic above of Landon Donovan on the team plane!
