German Soccer Legend Tapped As World Cup Analyst
April 30th, 2010 | Posted by Queen of Sports in Soccer | No Comments
German soccer great Juergen Klinsmann has been hired to provide commentary for the rapidly approaching World Cup.
He will be a studio analyst on ESPN and ABC for the tournament, which runs from June 11-July 11.
“What I can bring to the table in analyzing games and talking is to make people understand what goes on on a soccer field actually reflects a nation,” he said. “I’d like to tell people why they’re playing a certain way, what’s in the back of their mind. It all goes back to roots of where they grew up and how they identify with their own nation.”
Klinsmann was the first player to score at least three goals in three World Cups: 1990, ’94 and ’98. He remains Germany’s second-leading World Cup goal scorer with 11.
Congrats on the new gig Juergen!

Sports Illustrated photographer Walter Iooss has spent the last four decades photographing iconic athletes and some of the most famous bikini clad models.
The photographer has decided to compile all the photos of the most gorgeous woman in the world and create a book appropriately titled Heaven.
When asked who he thought should buy the book, Walter responded “I think anyone involved in the fashion world. People who love models. Photographers. Maybe designers. I would hope the fashion world would embrace it. The sports lovers. Women should buy it for husbands. I doubt women are going to buy it and put it on a coffee table. This is obviously a Father’s Day gift.”
There you go – in case you need some gift ideas for Dad, here it is!

Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson Call Their Dispute “A Big Misunderstanding”
April 29th, 2010 | Posted by Leah Hollar in Couples,Crime,MMA | 1 CommentTito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson are withdrawing the allegations that Ortiz physically abused Jameson. Tito had said the dispute began over Jenna Jameson’s relapsing on Oxycontin, but a drug test revealed she was clean. He found pills in the pocket of her pants that were old, and that’s when the argument escalated.
Ortiz would be facing a huge loss of money if convicted of domestic violence, especially since Orange County Court records show that back in 1998 Tito was arrested for battery causing serious bodily injury. He was also charged but found not guilty by the jury, in the same incident, for assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, another battery charge, and another assault charge. He was sentenced to 29 days in jail, three years probation, and 232 hours of community service.
